"Beacon Rock Trail" 24" x 24" oil on canvas
This painting is based on a recent hike to the summit of Beacon Rock. Beacon Rock is an 848-foot-tall monolith composed of basalt on the north bank of the Columbia River. It was named by Lewis and Clark in 1805. This is an easy hike, and offers fantastic views of the Columbia River Gorge. Worth every step. More paintings of this area to come!
